2018 Sat Nav auto dim problem

Hi,

I’ve got a 2018 BRZ with Appleplay Sat Nav system. I can’t seem to get the Sat Nav to auto switch to night mode so when driving at night the screen is really bright. If I put the settings to ‘manual mode’ I can dim the screen or turn it to night mode but it won’t do it automatically when in ‘auto mode’. Any suggestions or advice?
