MikeB
Hi. I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a July 2009 2.00 Outback REn. Great car. The trouble is the engine blew last Friday. It seems that the fuel has been injected into the engine oil somehow (according to the local mechanic) and its scrap. The engine had done 102k miles. Subaru are quoting £13k for parts (!). I have had one offer of £7k for a new engine and dismantlers are saying £3k to buy one. I was offered £1k for it by a garage. I think the car is worth about £11 according to Parkers Any ideas on how I can sell it on for the best price without me getting ripped off? Many thanks. Gambit
For me anything that has gone bang, and I'm not going to repair I eBay them. Not always best choice but for ease I have always found it best way. You will get loads of offer's from people with buy it now. And if you can sell it outside of eBay i.e by them coming to pick it up and paying cash, you remove the listing and you just pay for the listing of the item.
