Hi, My 2009 SH5 has issues with the power steering. STEERING light is on and power steering has disappeared, steering is extremely heavy. A mechanic advised that I replace the electronic steering rack with an SG5 hydraulic power steering. Has anyone experienced such and can the modification work?

Kindly advise.



Hi Steering will be heavy as there is no assistance- welcome to the 70's 😊. Yes sourcing a hydraulic setup will work but it is a bit more than a rack. you will need pump, belt, hoses, reservoir as well
