engine replacement compatibility

Featured Replies

Hallo, I'm trying to get used engine for my 2.0l diesel outback.

I have a 04/2009 model and I have found a 2012 engine.

My question is if it will fit on my car.

A break yard dealer had a check with my number plate and said that will fit.

Welcome any suggestion or if anyone knows where to get an engine will help.

Regards

Andrea

Yes, it should fit. Use the injectors, fuel pipes, fuel rail, and injection pump from old engine, also the turbo. The old egr system needs swapping to the new engine to. You may have to drill and tap two holes in the block to fit it. The bosses are there and it will be fairly obvious what needs doing.  For a used engine try Japanese car parts in Dewsbury. 01924 437743.
