2012 Forester and Impreza compatability in gear linkage

Hi all.

I've owned my 2012 (Sh model 2008-2012) for 5 years now and love it as mich now as I did the day I picked it up.

There is one slight bug though and that's probably coming from me having had several sportier cars with short shifters.

I want a short throw kit for my Forester. Searching for one is impossible as it's far too civilised to mod like this :). So what I want to know is, is the Forester shifter compatible with an Impreza? I know they share a lot.
