DPF flashing dash light

Featured Replies

Hi

I picked up my 2016 2 litre diesel outback 12th May been driving completely fine today I got home and as I parked up the DPF warning came up on the dash and the DPF light is flashing on the dash.

I've no pre warning like loss of power, smoke etc. AA came out his computer was not giving him any error codes. He said soot was 41% and ash was 17% he done two static regens but the light won't go off, he's booked me in the garage for Monday.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be or what I can expect.

Generally a forced regeneration and a damn good thrash does the job but if you increase the revs over time gradually and fill with quality fuel, holding the gears for longer it will usually sort itself

Hi

Thanks for reply, AA guy said he done 2 static regens but didn't clear the light. I dropped it off at the garage 9am this morning just waiting to hear from them.

I thought with the light flashing I couldn't drive it or I would took it for a blast over the weekend, I do normally give diesels a blast and I was only in Scotland last week which was 130 mile there along A69 and A75 doing minimum 60mph
