Speedo/Windscreen Blower switch fault

Hi there, 

Come across an issue in my gen3 Legacy. The speedo dial is slightly erratic, but when you press the orange button on the heater for the windscreen blower it cuts off all together. 

Gonna go for a drive with the OBD plugged in to check the speed sensor is actually working. 

If it is I' presuming it's an issue with a connection or earth for the dash cluster? 

Anyone seen this before?
