Nimpy Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Hi I have noticed a leak of power steering fluid from around the pump, I can't see anything obvious, banjo bolt is tight, can't see any flow of fluid. Is there a place where it commonly leaks from?ย Cheers for any help ๐
David Wilkinson Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Hi mateย I had a similar problem. There is an O ring between the pump reservoir and the pump itself that can be the usual culprit.ย Hope you manage to get it sorted ok.
Nimpy Posted May 4, 2022 Author Posted May 4, 2022 ย Parts have arrived, will get to sort this out tomorrowย ๐
Nimpy Posted May 5, 2022 Author Posted May 5, 2022 All done, if that isn't the cause I guess a new power steering pump is next!ย Though I just noticed my rear offside brake caliper leaking, and the fluid stripping the paint off the wheelย ๐can't believe it, fix one thing, another springs up!ย 2
David Wilkinson Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Great job mate, thanks for the pictures too. Youโve done a good job. Thats a shame about the brake fluid leak. Is it coming from the brake hose?
Nimpy Posted May 8, 2022 Author Posted May 8, 2022 Cheers David, Sadly not, appears to be a seal that has gone. Car is going into the body shop tomorrow, its literally round the corner so not an issue, but the brakes will have to wait until I get it back. I've rebuilt motorbike brakes, I can't imagine these being any worse. Just a real nuisance!ย
