Hi all, alfa-boxer powered kit car owner looking to convert to Subaru

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I just thought I'd introduce myself, hopefully some of you will find my project interesting. I own two Minari Road Sport kit cars, both powered by AlfaSud boxer engines. I'm looking to convert one of them to a Subaru engine like the Murtaya (Which is the evolution of the Minari, based off of the Delfino).

The Minari is an interesting car because it uses a Fully Fibreglass monocoque body shell. This makes the car very light weight and also very stiff. Heres a few pictures of them, the blue car is the one thats getting converted:

When it broke down:

After several months in storage:

The alfa engine:

How it currently stands:

Both of them together:

I hope some of you might find this project interesting and perhaps can help me out along the way.

Thanks!

Wotcha and welcome - there appears to be plenty of room under the bonnet so it would just be a case of sorting the mountings, mind you the reliability may get a little tedious after living with the Alfa  ;) you may have to run out of fuel every so often to simulate a breakdown.
