I have a problem with my 06 Impreza. The engine light is on as the maf sensor is unplugged. When you plug the new sensor in it runs like crap. It makes the engine light flash. Had it in a garage and they have said that the sensor is giving readings back that are way off. I’m not sure if this is even the right sensor for this car. Has anyone had this issue before ?

I would double check its the right part as a starter for 10, also you may need to reset the ecu as it will have adjusted itself aroudn the duff maf sensor.
