low range

Featured Replies

hello! Greetings from Chile, I have a question that I need clarification on, my 2009 Impreza 2.0 has the option of working with low range, I understand that it is oriented towards steep slopes or unusual roads, it is curious that a vehicle that is intended solely for The city has a low range system that from my perspective should target more "off road" vehicles. However, my question is whether it is bad to use the low range to accelerate the vehicle? For example, if I want to get out faster than a car next to me and I use low range, will this damage the transmission, differentials or something else?
