Trailer Socket Connection

Featured Replies

I recently became the owner of a 2010 Subaru Legacy Estate

This vehicle was pre fitted with a standard UK/EUR Ntype trailer socket which had seen better days.

The cable that was almost attched was an tail from the wiring loom with the following colours.

Brown (Established as Ground with a test meter)

Black

Black/Red

Black/Green

White

Black/White

Grey/Black

Grey/Red

So 8 wires going to a 7 pin trailer socket

These are

1 Yellow Left indicator

2 Blue Fog Light

3 White Earth Grnd

4 Green Right Indicator

5 Brown Right hand Side Light

6 Red Brake Lights

7 Black Left Side Lights

I have found wiring diagrams for Subaru that make no sense with either.

Is there anyone out there that can point be in the right direction?
