radio/cd player code?

HI, I have a 2005 Subaru forester with radio/cd player ( I know but I'm a dinosaur and its not my only car ) I have a suspect car Battery issue and I'm concerned I might lose the code if I run a drain test as it involves removing one of the terminals to test it. does anyone know if this model even has a code as I've had it suggested that Subaru didn't use radio codes.
