New member with newly acquired 2019 XV and I am getting quite frustrated with Radio ON/OFF settings

I don't particularly want radio to be active so I press the ON/OFF round control button to turn radio off but it seems to still keep on and so far only way I have discovered is to switch off engine and open door and I'm sure there is a simpler way.  Also at present, when I do get the radio off and press maps, the radio comes back on again. Would very much appreciate advice on this. Tks.
