1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type-RA V Ltd 555

Featured Replies

Selling my 1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type-RA V Ltd 555. In the iconic Subaru sonic blue code 74f.

Serial number 491/555. Complete with special edition plaque,'97 WRC emblem on boot,'97 V3 insignia interior, pink WRC grill badge, STi RA close ratio gearbox, DCCD, R180 diff, 4 pot front brakes 2 pot rear brakes, STi RA suspension, STi RA quick steering rack, short shift gearbox, auto/manual intercooler water spray, opening roof hatch and lightweight panels as original equipment.

Imported in 2017 with paper work present. The car has covered 191k km (119k miles). It has had a new EJ207 newage short block fitted at 177k km (110k miles) with a new exedy clutch fitted. The rear diff was rebuilt less than 5k miles ago, with new shocks and springs front and rear fitted around the same time.

Extensive folder of reciepts for parts and work carried out since import in 2017.

The gearbox is smooth in operation both up and down the gears. No cruncy synchromesh, noises or leaks,
DCCD operating correctly.

The body is in good condition with some age related marks, it has been painted at some point in its life which is showing some sanding marks. The chassis and underbody is in good condition but there is some rust appearing on one outer sill, I have had one repaired, pictures indicating this. If I was able to keep the car I would be getting the othe sill done and the car painted, which was my plan but circumstances have changed and I have to sell it on.

The car has been in dry storage during my ownership for the last 4 years. I have had an extensive 200 point inspection carried out, and followed through with recommended work to get any issues sorted totalling over 3500 spent. The engine was removed to replace cam cover seals, new cam belt kit with tensioners and bearings fitted, genuine filters, engine bay cleaned.

Interior comes standard with V3 manufacturers champion insignia on front seats which are in great condition for a 25 year old car. Opening STi RA roof hatch. Electric windows. Central locking. Original Subaru floor mats. JVC stereo system. Original Lamco boost gauge and aftermarket turbo timer fitted prior to import. The steering wheel has been retrimmed and has a new genuine gear knob. Aftermarket gauges to show oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel pressure. Slight sun damage to top glovebox lid.

The car is mostly standard apart from a Hayward and Scott group n exhaust which sounds great when on throttle but isn't too loud for normal daily use.

It is pictured and currently has Speedline ST2 17" wheels fitted with brand new Michelin Pilotsport 4's but will be sold with very good condition refurbished standard 5 spoke wheels with as new Michelin Pilotsport 4's. Speedlines are available with the car sale or sold separetely after the car has sold.

£15,495

Car is located in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
