2016 2.0D Manual, air con has failed.  Local man regassed about 6 weeks ago and said at the time he couldn't maintain a vacuum, so I'm assuming this referred to a leak as the system is doing nothing by way of cooling right now.

Any advice welcome so I'm not going blind to the dealer or an independent for assessment or repair.  One source (U.S.) has suggestted the Schrader Valves which would be lot cheaper to deal with than a replacement compressor.

If anyone has a recommendation for an Air Con service / repair service between Oxford and High Wycombe and 15 miles either side of the M40 I'd appreciate that as well.
