Hi guys

 

Got my legacy yesterday. Does anyone have any idea how to remove the gear knob? I fancy putting an aftermarket one on, but can't figure out how the stock one comes off.

sorry cant help you with that one - One of the others will be along in a bit I'm sure to point you in the right direction.

I've not played with a newer model but on all the older ones you hold the great stick through the gaiter and unscrew the knob.

my Forester is a screw on, remember the first time i took it off it was FT so hold the shaft through the gaiter as Tlag suggests.

If it's the same as the 55 plate Impreza it does just screw off :) 

08 Impreza is just screw on - didnt want to say that in case it had an auto box with a captive screw or something :P

Yeah mine needs a good clean inside and out. I also have mucky kids too but I combat that with tinted windows :D
