ForTheLoveOfMat Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 just wondered if anyone has used a bonnet bib, and if they are any good, or poss cause more damage thanks
Gambit Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Hi mate welcome to the Club I have not used one myself and don't really like the look of them when on either :( But not heard anyone complain about it doing damage to the car's but I do worry that they might help flick the stones off and add more small chips to my windscreen ;)
Jay762 Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Wotcha and welcome - I have seen good an bad reports - make sure the fit is good and be prepared to tcut your car as the rest of the car will fade, why not use a clear plastic vinyl instead?
mariocinq Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 know some one that bought one of these bras for his car, it was a middle range one and when he took it off after 6 months to clean and polish the full car and found that the bra had actually scratched and worn the paint away undernieth, this is more than likely due to not fitting properly. my view is, why take the risk when the damage done to start with is minimel, unless its a show car.
ForTheLoveOfMat Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 great, thanks for all your comments, maybe best left without one, just hate stone chips :-)
Gambit Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I agree nothing worse gravel acne all over the front :)
Jay762 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Try this http://www.3mventureshield.co.uk/paint-protection-film/
mariocinq Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Try this http://www.3mventureshield.co.uk/paint-protection-film/ +1 for this. if i was worried about stone chips i'd go this route as it doesnt spoil the lines of the car.
ForTheLoveOfMat Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 great thanks, rotection-film looks like a really good option :)
odessey Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Protection film is Def the best way to go as bra do cause damage to the paint underneath. Dirt collects under the bra then as you drive the wind makes the bra move and hey presto you may as well of put sand paper on. 1
