Jay762 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Just checked your engine bay shots - I see what you mean now, although I havent done it myself there are plenty of examples of people just replacing the big plastic box with a piece of pipe - Subaru themselves did away with it a year or two later than your model
Jay762 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 just done some more reading - yes you can do - apparently Samco do a replacement hose which does away with the 'pre-turbo resonant chamber', this chamber is responsible for quite a bit of air swirl as the inlet and outlet are not aligned or matched 1
Gambit Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Not sure if this helps http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_1605/article.html
BoozyDave Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 not really, mines a blob and the air intake is like a snorkel from the front grille
Gambit Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I will have a look at the blobeye tomorrow and see what mines like. It's not been modified the blobeye so should be the same
