Firstly is it safe to drive a car where the bottom end has just started knocking as I am currently looking at a project one. Secondly I'm looking at another one and it says in the advert that there's a knock but its a sensor or crank? He reckons it is safe to drive is it? Pommy Posted March 3, 2014 Share Posted March 3, 2014 I would be wary of what he is saying, knocking of any type is bad and is probably causing unseen damage. I would personally stay away from that unless you know exactly what it is. But if you are willing to take the risk it is your choice.
