Youngoutbacker Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Hey can i get some help for alittle more power for my engine its a 2.5 liter h6 ( I think ) its a 2000 outback any sugestions? Justus F.
Tlag Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 It will either be a 2.5l flat four or a 3.0l flat 6 (H6) Either way, the best upgrades are: a full service with a better panel air filter and an exhaust with easier flow, but be careful about emission laws. 1
Youngoutbacker Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Oh well its a 2.5 liter so ne exhaust so im new how do i know if its fine for emission laws and does it really matter how will they know Justus F.
Tlag Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Over here, our cars are checked every year for emission output which means it's a bit difficult to decat an exhaust for example. Do you not have a yearly safety check on the cars in the US?
Youngoutbacker Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Idk im 15 lol ask an adult id say not but maybe? Justus F.
Gambit Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 So are you learning about them or is it your parents car ?
Youngoutbacker Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 No no its my car im fixing it so when im 16 i can drive it im replacing the engine atm Justus F.
Gambit Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Oh ok I guess you guy's can drive at an early age there then 17 before you can even drive a car with a qualified instructor here. :) But as Tlag said I would check what checks will be done 1st. I'm lucky and know the MOT tester who lets me off without the cats being on the car.
