March 31, 201411 yr Heya guys. I have an impreza sport. I think the tappets are !Removed!. How easy is this to sort? It's noisy and !Removed! embarrassing. Thanks in advance xx
March 31, 201411 yr Hi Mel You sure it's the tappets ? the cambelt tensioner sounds the same skip to 4 minutes 30 seconds can hear it
March 31, 201411 yr Hi Mel, any chance you could do a video and post it as that may help with the diagnosis. is the noise constant or does it change with the revs, does it change when the car warms up? Has this just happened or has it got progressively worse over time?
March 31, 201411 yr Author Heya yeh It sounds a bit like that video actually. But it stops once the car has warmed up and better after higher revs. Yeh I will try to get a video either tonight or tomorrow. Thanks xx

April 1, 201411 yr when was the last time it was serviced, and whats the current mileage ? has it had a rebuild and is it down on power ?, cause the video is short in length its hard to tell, but could be just very noisy tappets which classics are known for or worst case it could be the crank, and it got noisy just as the revs where dropping.
April 1, 201411 yr Author Service was about 4/5 months ago. It's literally big standard. It's only done just over 80,000 miles. I will try and get another video up a bit longer. X
April 1, 201411 yr I don't think it's the tappets. I'm going to guess it's what I said first doesn't sound as bad as the bigends.
