Rod1 Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Can anyone recommend a good supplier for subaru parts? When I (finally) find one, I'll be doing a full service inc gearbox oil, timing belt, water pump, oil, filters, plugs, leads etc. Where's best to get the bits?
Mr B Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Local motor factors for likes of filters, water pump & timing belt kit from likes of ADL Blueprint. Oils, leads, plugs can be found online probably cheaper & with wider range of quality & performance rating as required. Just buy wisely, especially Timing kits & water pumps as no point throwing original quality pump in bin & bolting on a cheap European monkey metal pattern part. A lot of large motor factors list on eBay so can be good if not getting trade prices locally or if local motor factors not too helpful.
Gambit Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 For me I use http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/ http://www.opieoils.co.uk/ and Fleebay
Rod1 Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 Cheers for the advice and links. Are the cam belt tensioners auto adjusting on the impreza?
Tlag Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Cam belt tensioner a are self adjusting but it depends what year you get as to which shape you need. As above, import car parts are brilliant.
Rod1 Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 I've just had a look and all the gear for a full service and cambelt is only 350-400. Bargain!
Gambit Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Nice we always welcome pictures and how too guides [emoji6]
Rod1 Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 Will do. Need my impreza first :( Getting so impatient!
