Right I was just going onto the motorway in 6th gear, the car just did a jolt feeling and the cruise control light, engine light and abs light came on.. The hasn't raised in temp.. nor is there any knocking noises? Could it be the engine blown? :/

I was on the motorway, I came off at fareham and parked up, checked the car over no smoke, just smelt really fualy.. The car has been smelling really fualy though lately, there was no knocking noises, I had to stay over a friends house in fareham and probably get it recovered tomorrow as it was 3am when this happened.

Do you have the ability to rear the ecu codes ?

May give you more of an indication of whats gone on.

Maybe a fueling issue pump or injectors not working propely. I'd be concerned about the smell though. Maybe take a look see if anything has leaked over night, wouldn't like to say whats happened for sure somome should be along in a bit with a bit more tech knowledge than me. Hope it's just something mior though mate

Strange I would get the codes read just to see if anything is stored I'm wondering if when it's got to full temperature it's making the rubbers sag and one has a split, or coil packs had a wobbler to cause it to judder. Only things I can think of for that with the ECU light and cruise control light. Not sure about the ABS maybe a panic thing the ecu did.

But I would start with the codes then pipes 1st as it's the easier thing to check for splits loose clips that sort of thing, then onto the plugs and coil packs.

Definitely get the codes read. The engine should be fine, it sounds like a sensor has had a problem with something and given you fuel/boost cut which explains the jolt. After that it would go into limp mode to protect itself which is why you could still drive it.

Could be a number of things but the codes will reveal all.

Okay took the car to the dorset subaru garage after work, they did a diagnostic test on the car and the code came back as P0244 (turbocharger wastegate solenoid high input) he didn't tell me how much it'll cost to replace but he said give it a thrashing to see if it comes back on again haha, helpful. anyone else had this problem on their car?

I'd say the waste gate maybe didn't open properly giving it a boot when warm should help build pressure around the engine in turn free it. I'm a strong believer in every car needs a good boot from time to time :)

Okay I think I've figured out the problem, It only happens in 6th gear around 5-6k revs when I put my foot down, If I pull over. unclip the Solenoid sensor and clip it back in all the engine lights switch off, So I'm pretty sure it's building up to much pressure and tripping its self, I dunno if a new waste gate will help or just replacing the solenoid?

Anyone heard or got a grimmspeed solenoid?

Is that what you have? A grim speed boost controller/regulated?

I've never had or fiddled with a controller before. I've always thought of them as the quickest way to a new turbo or engine possible. I'm open to be educated and I'm sure if set up by a mapper or experienced tuner it should be fine.

If you are just asking about them, I apologise for the above. ;)

Grimmspeed stuff is quite well known in the states, don't know if you can get hold of it easily over here, whoever installed it should have had the car mapped at the same time, maybe see if you can get hold of a standard part and put it back in
