Xbox One currently runs using Direct X 11 which without a doubt gives some pretty good performance and graphics. However Mircrosoft have announced that they are releasing Direct X 12 for the Xbox One which will increase it's capabilities by 100%!! Now you may think this is all talk but they have said.... “The results are spectacular. Not just in theory but in practice. Xbox One is the biggest beneficiary; it effectively gives every Xbox One owner a new GPU that is twice as fast as the old one". However, have double the load on the machine will of course come with a downside, it will run hotter.... how hot we do not know.
