Wotcha and welcome -

It depends what other mods you have completed as to if changing the ecu mapping will give any gains - it is usually done in conjunction with exhaust and induction mods so if you have a high flow filter and a performance exhaust you would see gains as it can deal with the increased fuel delivery in line with teh increased flow through the engine.

You may be able to have the existing ecu remapped.

but what I would say is if your injectors are not clean trying to force more fuel through them will not work.

What is the spec of your car at the moment?

Hi mate welcome to S.O.C

And as Jay has said I would only look at it if you have made some other engine mods to the car :)

Hi cheers for the feedback. Its completely standard atm but looking to get a full stainless exhaust n dacat . Ive heard that a high quality panel filter would be jus as good as a cone or enclosure. Is this correct.

It is unless you want to push the 400BHP I believe. I'm only at 300 with mine and have a cone but I like the sound with it on :) and it's been remapped to have it :)

yes that is true K&N Cosworth etc high flow panels will give you an increase over standard and will flow the same as a cone - An advantage a cone will give you over a panel is with the associated induction tubing - if it is larger that means more air can flow.

Hi there, I completely agree with the previous comments. If you look at my car mods in the gallery section, I changed a lot of things before I considered changing the ECU. My ECU has come from the same version of car with a prodrive pack. I now have the chance to change the ECU again, one I put some equal lenght exhaust manifolds. This new ECU is from Haywood and Scott.

depending what it is standard but done right you could be looking at an average increse of around 40 ish brake. all depending on what re map you have done. but if you are going that route then get some 440 injectors and you might get up to 320 maybe more
