david1972 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 This unit is currently on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=281385517930 I'm assuming it would fit in my outback where the cubby hole cover is located at the top centre of my dash: http://s23.postimg.org/mthnx8bmv/Pic_11.jpg Is anybody able to advise how easy this would be to fit and any additional wiring I'd need? I currently have the factory fitted 6cd changer / cassette combo in place. I've asked the seller if any cables come with it - just waiting for a response. Any help appreciated as always :)
Th4neuk Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I've read that it isn't that easy as you need the whole wiring loom that goes with it. I'd half looked into this idea myself but have elected to go down the route of replacing the Stereo for a double din unit i can have nav on. Cheers Alan
majik_thighs Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 And i`m also not sure, i`ll take a pic of mine so`s you know exactly what it replaces. The nav DVD unit is fitted inside the glove box top right hand side.
majik_thighs Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 You could do with obtaining a workshp manual, it should show the wiring etc.
david1972 Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 Yeah, I'm already thinking not so easy too...I'd need to take my computer out too so think I'll just make do with my 4 yr old portable jobby for a while yet....things higher on the list [emoji6] Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
majik_thighs Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 You also get a 12 volt lighter socket in the arm rest. Sent from my Galaxy S 5 using Tapatalk
majik_thighs Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 If you did fit the navigation unit it has the mileage info and service info and a whole lot more. Sent from my Galaxy S 5 using Tapatalk

majik_thighs Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 There's a YouTube video showing how to remove the little cubby hole and vents. Only clipped in. Check for the loom. Sent from my Galaxy S 5 using Tapatalk
Th4neuk Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I have seen someone has made a double din unit fit in the cubby hole. Leaves the factory unit in though. Cheers Alan
