WRX/UK 300 buying advice?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm considering going to look at an 05 plate WRX which is being sold as a UK 300. Only thing is i'm not sure it is and i'm wondering if there is any way of telling by looking at the car? The first alarm bell is the car is black... Could have been resprayed? I put the number plate into an insurance site and it came up as a WRX 300. Sorry if you've been through this before but what is the difference between the UK 300 and WRX 300 and how can you tell if the car is actually one of these?!! I know people can muck about with badges etc and this one seems to have STI everywhere.. Confused!

Any info gratefully received.

It should have a certificate in the document s with matching vin i assume ,and it should have a special edition spoiler on it ,someone else on here will know more ..........sorry I'm on about a pro drive one

Has a plaque too near the cigarette lighter with UK300 and the number, As said above certificate should have OZ Prodrive 18" alloy wheels and what is called the rabbit ear spoiler with Prodrive badges  headlights and the front grill is different plus a splitter. Hope that helped if you was asking about mechanical advice we have a post somewhere :)
