July 30, 201411 yr Subaru Legacy 2,0 twin turbo 1997 Was driving back from football training today and was just about to hit the second turbo but it bogged down, and the check engine sign came on, now the second turbo doesn't work at all !! Any Ideas anyone?
July 30, 201411 yr Welcome to the club. Not the best first post :( Can you get any engine codes? That would help a lot in finding out what's wrong. In the meantime to the best of my limited knowledge. Check for split or loose hoses, that would cause loss of pressure. Leaks of oil or water around turbo, one of the oil feeds or water feeds has gone. Blue smoke out the back, one of the seals or bearings in the turbo has gone. Pretty sure someone with more knowledge of Legacy's will help out.
July 30, 201411 yr Author Thanks for the advice, yes not the best, what makes the situation worse is that i just bought it yesterday!! Just checked under the hood and can't see any loose hoses, or leaks, nor blue smoke!
July 30, 201411 yr what code did you get mate here hows to find them just incase http://www.veloce.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Otherttdocs/cel.htm if it is code 66 which ive had before,re set the fault codes ( do this anyway)and go for a drive
