Forester fmic

Hi I'm after some advice please.

As the title says I'm wanting to fit a fmic to my 97 fozzy.

Has anyone done this and is there anything I need to get specifically or will a impreza fmic kit fit.

An Impreza classic kit should fit. Although, I have never seen a kit that dosnt need a little fettleing to fit.

Using it on a fozzy may need a bit of thought once you have it to get it to fit as the chassis rails are in a different position to the Impreza ones for example.

You will probably need to cut away some of the insides of the bumper too, to get the actual IC to fit

Don't forget to get a remap done too, or you could end up with epic turbo lag.

I have no idea mate, maybe see if you can get the dimensions of the cooler and make a mock up unit. At least then you can see where abouts it will go

What kind of power are you looking for ?

Only want to go upto about 350bhp

It's running 280 at the moment

It's still got a td04 on it at the moment so that will be the first job, upgrade that to a td05 then map it and see what I get

Get a new age top mount they are good for 350 not much hassle fitting one either,

What ecu you running? When funds allow I'm after a remap but looking at esl boards

With a td05, an up rated top mount and a remap, 350 should be achievable. The limiting factor will be fuelling. What injectors do you have and what fuel pump?

440 injectors and walborogh fuel pump. iridium plugs and 12mm magnicore ht leads
