Jammy Johnny Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Do the Classic UK 2000 turbo wagons accept fuel injector cleaner into the tank without destroying anything. It will be driven normally whilst the cleaner is in B) New full timing belt kit, all pulleys and water pump fitted now along with a new coil pack , leads, plugs and a full service. Number 4 injector flashed up on my obdII machine but I think it was number 2 plug that look as if it was not firing
Jammy Johnny Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Thanks Jay. I was just wishful thinking on an easy way :). Oh well I suppose I better do it properly then.
Jay762 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Will be easier in long run, as you say job done properly - using the vpower type fuels in future helps keep them clean as they have detergents etc in the fuel which your lower ron / cost fuels dont have. Also injectors do wear / over time so this should help with peace of mind in the long run that they are performing correctly 1
Nevell Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Well on 5 the gear they done a test on a dyno on a golf r32 of before and after using injecter cleaner and tere was 6 or 7 bhp difference but as jay said better off getting them ultra cleaned
BoozyDave Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Also when being ultrasonic cleaned, most places check the flow rate of them too, to make sure that they are within acceptable tolerances. 1
