mikewrxturbo Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Hi I am buying a Wrx wagon next week and just wondered what you all think of the handling on the wagons ? I have had 4 scoobys before but only the saloons. The wagon I am getting ata Great price or I would hold out for the saloon again. Thanks guys.
BoozyDave Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 I've never had a wagon, so i can only state other opinions. '555wagon' says his handled well and then he fitted uprated 'whiteline' goodies (PM him for more details) and it was transformed into a different beast if you want a wagon, get one. improvements can be made to get it to handle how you want
Adam Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Can't comment on the handling as I've never owned a saloon, but I can say they sound better because you can hear the exhaust through the boot... Fold down the seats for an ever better sound!! 1
quit Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I've had both (2 saloons and 2 wagons. ) I added rear strut braces on the wagons and whiteline rear arbs and it holds the road like glue. !! My saloon handled well too My mate swears the wagon handles better as it's more rigid over the rear wheels
quit Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I was messing about with my mates sti that's on tein coils and 360 bhp ! He was shocked how fast I went round the bends with my wagon with less power , not on coilovers and not as good tyres 1
mikewrxturbo Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 The guy I'm getting it off Is a mate of mine and he has driven my cars and swears the wagon is even better. I will soon find out lol.
mikewrxturbo Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 I like your wagon Matt it's really nice. The 1 I'm getting Is silver but gonna get it vinyl wrapped eventually.
mikewrxturbo Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Bit like mine really. I just can't say no to a turbo at a good price lol. I got my misses an ml 320 4x4 so she is happy and ill be happy when I get something with a bit more grunt !!
mikewrxturbo Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 It's a 1997 wagon Wrx import. I'm not to great with understanding all the different versions lol.
mikewrxturbo Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 I'm waiting on some pics of it off the guy and I'll post some up if I can work it out lol. its completely standard at the moment but at least it means its probably been less ragged about, its only done 100,000 miles and that's a mixture of kilometers as well so prob around 70-80,000 miles. Its got different alloys but not sure I like them.
quit Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 If it has bars in the grill it's a v3 , if it's honeycombe then it's a v4
mikewrxturbo Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 OK thanks for that I'll put pics up asap.
