exhaust bolt removal tips

Featured Replies

OK people I've changed exhausts on other cars no problems, and while bolts on manifold to cat are not rusty by any means they just won't budge so any tips appreciated

Can't you get a 4" from underneath. ?

Long arm torque wrench ?

Soak em overnight on wd40 ?

Easy peasy......

All 5 nuts on my downpipe were corroded, rounded off and generally a pain to remove.

Bit of WD40 on them then get a ring or open ended spanner on the back and a Bolt grip on the front. Will come off easy as pie.

Heat works a treat, either warm up with a blow torch or similar.
