blobthebuilder Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 OK people I've changed exhausts on other cars no problems, and while bolts on manifold to cat are not rusty by any means they just won't budge so any tips appreciated
blobthebuilder Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 How space is very tight to get anything in
blobthebuilder Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 Ol give that a whirl buddy, thsnkd
Scooby Pete Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Easy peasy...... All 5 nuts on my downpipe were corroded, rounded off and generally a pain to remove. Bit of WD40 on them then get a ring or open ended spanner on the back and a Bolt grip on the front. Will come off easy as pie. Ash007ks Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Heat works a treat, either warm up with a blow torch or similar.
blobthebuilder Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 Wd40 did squat lol, managed to cut lower bolt enough to put spanner on and break it but then fubar'd hacksaw blade lol, so wondered if I get a new hacksaw and remove blade slip over downpipe and put blade back in will I be able to cut other bolt
Scooby Pete Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 try the bolt grips first. Honestly they are the best thing I have used for this job.
