Rear shocks!!...... can you tell/feel where the knocking could be coming from say front/rear of car?, does it happen going over bumps?. or when reversing?.

Which halve..........only joking... Iv,e been there many times, its damded hard work. I use alloy wheel cleaner (try an area first & dilute if to agressive) ,let it dry some, go over with small wire brush on drill + small wire" toothbrush" style brush. Wear gloves and a mask, Depending on how well you what the finish, keep going over with APC till you are happy with results. Protect with ACF 50 (smells as it burns off) good luck!!

Bumper /wing no different, you might even get same coluor if you are lucky. you really need the bumper and wing removing to get a look behind, assess any hidden damage.Remove wheel strip off damaged parts, check chassis/subframe/mounting this is going to be the important area any serious damage its a right off!! , (worse case scenario, as it was low speed i think you may be lucky).
