Has anyone had the genuine Subaru sensors fitted to their outback? Can they be turned off? The installation instructions look like you might be able too. A lot of dealers offer there own kit instead

Thanks useful advice! It’s a real shame but we need the extra rear legroom of the outback. Unbelievable the XV has a higher payload. The payload is even less with the diesel outback. I imagine people just overload

I agree the load capacity is small on the outback. It’s only 479kg for such a large car. A family of 5 could easily be 300kg plus 80kg noseweight for a caravan and your left with 100kg for luggage/roofbox/ bikes etc thats presuming the towball weight subtracts off the payload! a skoda Octavia scout has a payload of 650kg
