  1. had some rude boy in a suzuki ignis sport think he could keep up with me round the lanes........ didnt last long
  2. Had a retest done on the coolant, liquid didnt change colour, brought myself a kit to check for cumbustion leaks, liquid stayed blue, car isnt over heating anymore the obly issue i seem to get is occasionally after hard driving coolant seems to be bein pushed into expansion chamber any ideas mr b?
  3. Hg is gone/goin been told 9 times out of 10 with this engine the problem usually snowballs and after original price of 2000for replacing hgwill cost me 4 onwards such a shame cus love the car
  4. Thanks will have to start saving some pennies then
  5. It doesn't completely overheat, it gets to what could be called 3 quarters and drops back down, sometimes goes over and drops down, sometimes it's when i drive it hard, then I can drive it hard and it's fine, and it will get hot just cruising , I am seriously gettin fukked off with it ! Had the thermostat replaced and it seems to be slightly better if not the same! It's the first decent expensive car i have owned (always had 500 quid bangers) and it I just want someone to have it and sort it the !Removed! out! The mechanic I use seems to make excuses sayin aslong as it's not hitting the red its ok, and the other garage I use which specialise and tune alot of rally /track cars just say HG straight away!
  6. Ok thanks for the HELPFUL advice
  7. Had a very interesting conversation with an old boy down the pub on this subject tonight, was told check all spark plugs and make sure they are all the same colour ? If so it could be down to running too much boost , having had it on the rolling road the turbo is running maximum boost , he seems to think it will be pushing hot air back into the engine if overworked?
  8. Having sorted the hose I am still having overheating issues, had gasket test done nothing, had countless people look at it and can't seem to find an issue but it still every so often (not regulary) gets hot??!! Any ideas?
  9. Having had to change my front discs I have discovered I have a seizing piston , and have been told I need to replace the entire caliper? Is there any other way around this or is the new calipers necessary? Cheers
  10. Should i order the lot then?
  11. I drove it today after playing about today with it had steam coming from bonnet which like u said was irritating to my eyes, my friend and fellow Subaru owner had a look and we spotted the leak, just wondering what its correct name is to order a new one
  12. I Think I have cracked it i have a split hose that comes off just under the rad cap to a tee off to the expansion bottle, but can't find a name for 1, any ideas? Still got it booked in but not showing any common signs of head gasket ie goo on oil cap, white smoke or chocolate milk coloured oil on dipstick
  13. Plus I am getting a test done just unsure wether to carry on driving it
