  1. Love the ride :) send some pictures over to me on the Clubs instagram and ill upload them :)
  2. looks like a set of resistors to convert the power for the right output. have you tried putting the black box in rice, the rice will suck all the moisture out of the item fully drying it out and as such should cause it to work againas long as no perm damage.
  3. http://www.twenga.co.uk/subaru-impreza-carbon-fibre-bonnet.html http://www.knightracer.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&path=39_159&product_id=1940 or carbon ;) nom nom
  4. have to see you chaps down there :) you got many on the stand ??
  5. http://vid305.photobucket.com/albums/nn209/AshCorsaC/VID-20150511-WA00002.mp4 http://vid305.photobucket.com/albums/nn209/AshCorsaC/Snapchat-6278866211754529281.mp4 Well a very long day all in all, had a nightmare trying to get the ECU unlocked by Alacatek, basically each mapper locks the ECU to there particular dongle, this is pretty much to stop you going elsewhere, and as im sure everyone is aware JGM mapped mine. once a bypass code was eventually written it was onto testing the car. first pull and it showed the fuelling was slightly out due to the Change of exhaust ( apparently not a big problem unless your using a standalone like alcatek, simtek, syveccs etc) next couple of pulls looked really promising showing increase of BHP and torque. as it was a cold September day when i had the pull the figures where adjusted to match the temperature that we had there to show a fair comparison. Figures are now 340bhp-320ft on pump 370bhp and 340ft on meth. The figures have been achieved by now running 1.45bar of boost, injectors still have plenty of go in them but im on the max of my turbo as anymore and it was getting slight boost creep :( the anti lag now sounds brutal, and ever gear change now has loud crackles and pops in between, and of course pops and bangs mapped in to the accelerator :) not that i need them anymore.£180 and 6hrs down, i would hate to find out how much time ive invested in this car :)
  6. i realized i never updated my results after the visit. who ever set up glens car at scooby clinic had change the ride height using preload, this will adjust the height but make the weight shift different all over the car. 6 .3hrs later with the height going up and down constantly so that it didnt scrub, and i was left with what only looked good but was great at cornering. To achieve maximum grip on the fast country roads, i opted for slight negative camber. -1.4 on the front to be exact, also some toe in on all the wheels was done to compensate this. the car now cruises road fast roads and my MPG has gone up :) all in all it was a good experience and due to the owners been the mechanics as part of an old Subaru rally team they certainly knew what they was doing, however the price was alot more than i was quoted :( £120 i was told, but due to them taking so long they told me they had to put a discounted labour charge on, so it came to £180 all in. In this space ive also had fitted full alloy drop links , i cannot report back the difference as it was at the same time as I had the Race Logics fitted, the ride is stiff and slightly bumpy ( turns out i have track springs fitted) other than that its all good. Due to the new 3" Raptor being fitted, my car is slightly grey smoking on booting ( running rich) as such ive booked in again at Area 52 to have a retune where im told the drop or increase in back pressure has caused this, due to the difference im told i could end up with even more power on both pump and meth, but we will see on the front. Second 12" fan fitted to the car and wired in to help cool during traffic, for all that don't know the lad who had it before wired the fan to the front on the radiator to create loads of space inside the engine bay, now this setup works great when your driving along as it sucks the air in, however in traffic it is its downfall, ive noticed being sat in traffic my oil temps where increasing to around 100c, i know have fitted the new fan on the inside of the engine bay, this now creates a in and out vacuum, and oil temps are staying around 87 - 94 depending on the heat outside and driving styles. some more pics to follow :)
  7. Sorry ive not posted up, Martin cannot do tomorrow however the week after is looking good 18th May, there will also be the big meet on the Retail park again for those that stay afterwards, failing that, i was going to suggest a meet on Sunday the 17th a ride out somewhere, need to test the car as its in for its second remap tomorrow. Let me know chaps and chapettes.
  8. No one is more happy than me however mods if this new buyer tries to sell these wheels on here cam we close the thread immediately , thank you lord for allowing this thread to be closed :)
  9. had one on my skyline for ages, just dont go mad with it, what it does is gives you the ability to soft cut your ignition and dump fuel into the exhaust, only issue i ever had was the manifold gasket went but it was old and brittle anyway :) my skyline with one.
  10. get a nice long straight road ( private land) and give it some through all the gears, if the revs go up but your speed doesnt its usually a tell tale sign its starting to slip, my bugeye started slipping right after my remap and usually its 3-4th gear that shows the slipping first due to torque.
  11. may be a tad steep but they are in good condition, the prices on these are up and down all the time. but GLWTS
  12. i have dual maps, one for 20% meth one for normal pump. as matt says you need it mapped in by a mapper and it is advisable to run dual maps for it as you can just run aroun on a meth map with no meth in as it will damage your engine. Mine makes over 30bhp more on the meth map and makes 300bhp at 4k revs, its brutal :)
  13. you may need a price unless ive missed it :) loved these when i had them on my bug
  14. Here is my much loved 53 plate, Corsa c combo van, Just ticked to 121k mileage and runs absolutely perfect, full service of all the filters and new oil 16/02/2015 with receipts. Mot till Nov 2015, all it needed last time was x2 rear springs and a tyre all of which has been done. Has a few dings from the previous owner but nothing that effects the car is anyway, the most noticeable is on the bonnet. The colour is red as i was told by the last owner that it was a Ex royal mail van before they bought it and all they used it for was racing grey hounds. My time of 7 months with it has been great, this is not a vehicle that is being swapped about on this website and this is the first time it has appeared on here, the only reason for the plate being covered is i dont like people coming up to me in the street saying isnt that on swapz. £35 of diesel did a whopping 320 miles on the motorway or over 54mpg which for a van is good. My dilema, my brother is trying to buy an MX bike and as such im looking at upgrading to a bigger van, Pickup or diesel car so i can tow. Vivaro, renault traffic etc, now im not looking for a minibus just something slightly bigger, the van is also up for sale, As you can see this bike has been used for MX and can fit a full adult size MX bike in as proven by my YZ just need the bars dropping when loading. Only issues it has is one of the rear wheels is buckled and vibrates between 40-50mph but fine after that, i am looking at getting this replaced asap, Just being honest. Has no rust at all as proven by the underside shot. Has Led's fitted for when the rear doors are opened and has bulk head and carpet for the back. any qs feel free. Looking for 1k ONO Open to swaps mostly looking at Pickups and Audi A4's but WHY
  15. If I win euro millions I will buy these just so I never get another notification about them
  16. Shooting star on this one. and this one and this one
  17. usually if you dont get the option or it doesnt state it in the description i would say its a no, thats not to say it wont work with yours though :)
  18. awesome :) nearly up to 700 members on it now,
  19. not too sure yet, as i may organise a day out on a weekend if we get enough interest.
  20. Yeah it was a good meet, a little daunting at first for new members but a good day alround. ive got something special for the next one :)
  21. haha rough day at work so it did come across a bit shirty lol, i just dont like people getting the wrong info haha
  22. ahhhh may have to try that then with the aperture :) I have sometimes however i think im just flukey haha, my main issue at the minute is getting my head around ISO's. Car parks are a real killer with their yellow lights haha. i do think i will progress as my aunty does it for a living and as such has a ridiculously expensive canon, i would say to beginners reading this as i still am, you want something mid range and do your research. I was in the moors trying to get a good shot of some birds ( flying kind not females haha) and they would not come close, but with the zoom they looked erm horrendous. but like you said its not really built for that, ive put up a few from the meet at the weekend, a few have slight noise to them due to being in manual mode all night, however i shall try what you have suggested. Stand by for more :)
