Ahh... I'm not and never have been a girly girl. I fix my cars and go hunting, never wear make up and can drink the best of them under the table.

I had a very similar problem recently and it turned out to be a buckled wheel. U say you've had the tyres balanced but did they check for buckles. I had it for ages and while i had my car on axle stands one day my son was spinning the passenger wheel and i noticed the wobble on the drivers wheel. Only slightly but it was there! Changed the wheel and boom!! Problem solved. Does your car seem to have a limp at very slow speed??

I appreciate the advice guys... I think i solved the problem. I changed the knock sensor and it seemed to have done the job. So far so good. I just hope i don't jinx myself now in saying that.

Wow! That's shocking.. It's amazing what the word turbo can mean. I'm lucky with mine but believe it or not my pig 206 with a 1.4 engine cost more to insure than the Scooby. 500 quid more too!

I had that sqeak too! Same thing... Alternator belt loose! Is that a common prob with scoobys? Cuz my 1st one had same prob too. I thought it was just my bad luck :(
