  1. Hi, as title says i'm looking for a reverse inlet manifold for an early ej20g and fmic piping to suit. many thanks
  2. thankyou, i believe from that article they yellows are phase 2, whiiich wasnt mentioned in the ebay ad nice waste of £60. anyone got a grey phase 1 injector going spare to replace the broken one???? :D
  3. hello, hi, need some help, just bought a set of yellow top injectors for my 95 wrx, all fitted fine no problems but when i went to start it up it wouldn't, starter engaged didn't turn over like starter was gone, after a while decided to check if id missed something putting it all back together took the yellow injectors out and found the engine had flooded literally pulled them out and lots of expensive fuel hit the ground, so, need advice/suggestions as to why this happened and what to do about it as unfortunately one of the old grey top injectors decided to go base jumping off my work bench without its parachute on and is now broke so cant just put the old ones back in. picture below is of the grey ones that came out and the yellow ones that were meant to be going in. why have they flooded my engine? or am i missing some vital information about how to correctly fit uprated injectors. thanks in advance for anything you men of wisdom can come up with
  4. on ARB note ive just fitted front and rear adj whiteline ARBs i've got the front on the 1st hole(don't know if that's harder or softer setting) and the rear on the medium setting also running Spax RSX coilovers got camber on max just on the camber bolts and the handling is phenomenal no understeer and havent pushed it hard enough to get oversteer does like to ***** a wheel at higher speeds and cherps the inside front but if anyone knows which hole on the front ARBs is the harder setting id like to know, bit of trial and error atm hopefully without much error
  5. haha i did this last thursday fairly easy job bit fidly you dont notice any weight difference all i noticed is my car now starts easier and idles better... strange. im just lost as to what to remove from under the dash.
  6. fmic and exhaust pleeeease when engines sold thank you also do you have pics of said parts?
  7. update time, i changed the Maf which sorted it out nicely thankyou for all your help on diagnosing that problem. though i do stiil have that annoying bogging down under heavy accelleration. it has now covered 125k miles so im thinking of a rebuild or a transplant. ive done a fair bit of research and im still confused with my exact model vin - gf8 018996 engine - ej20gdw5ne (i know ej20g is just early model jdm 2.0 turbos but whats the rest mean?) applied model - gf8c58d (this is whats confusing me as it could either be a 218bhp wrx or a 258bhp sti v2) also on the v5 it says its an Impreza R estate...... and would it have a semi closed deck or a full closed deck block
  8. id say your pretty spot on i cleared the codes went for a longish drive (longer than last nights drive) which it seemed fine idles still not steady though checked the codes and the maf sensor came up again and nothing else. the smokeyness went away during the drive. how long or is it ok to drive on a faulty maf? cheers
  9. still boggo standard, ive checked oil and coolent both look fine no milkyness have got some engine codes up, a 45 pressure sensor, 23 maf, 24 isc valve circuit and the usual 11 crankshaft sensor. it idles fine from cold. going to run it up to temperature now see what happens
  10. hello I'm back, with more problems. yesterday i went out, was only a short journey 3-4 miles at most, but at the end of my journey the engine would not idle right kept dropping to 200-300 rpm sometimes under but didn't stall the engine light flashed up every time the revs went above that and loads of smoke pouring out the exhaust my mate said he could smell petrol the smoke was white (i think it was 1030 at night), so i parked it up over night and just gone to get it and it started fine idled fine no warning lights on no smoke though i haven't let it warm up fully yet which is when it seemed to start having problems last night. once again i ask for your wisdom of what i can check any solutions or suggestions welcome thank you
  11. Cheers, Job for Tomorrow then. and yeah at the moment I'm running on 95, recommend going to high octane?
  12. so it came back from the garage with no faults, apparently the codes are old and just havent been cleared but still got the problem of the car all of a sudden missfiring under heavy acceleration, though am pleased all it needs is a new clutch and itll fly through the mot.
  13. so isit the sensors that are faulty or possibly the thing its sensing as-well? (probably a dumb question) and i take it i just need to get new ones cant just clean them up.
  14. im soon to replace the suspension on my wagon thinking of uprating the shocks to koni's on standard springs, i imagine ride feel wont be much different from standard
  15. right just had a look i got a 45 (map sensor) and an 11 (crankshaft position sensor) easy fix's or pain in the ar*e yeah unfortunatly it was my mother in her hybrid yaris..... she didnt notice but im definetly hangin my head in shame
