  1. Yeah I've been on a few always get 5 or 6 people on them that know everything or have a view on others cars that winds me up. Seen it on our own Facebook page. But I hope he polices that statement. I mean it's not hard to just say "It's not for me." Or "I'm not a fan myself." I think half the time people use the facebook groups just to boost the friends count so they look like they have loads of friends.
  2. Extra girth is always a good thing :D
  3. If their getting very hot after a short drive it will be sticky piston on the callipers maybe more than one it will warp the discs too if not sorted, and if they get too hot reduce the braking. Only real way is the get some refurbished ones I'm having to do mine at the minute just waiting on a set to be rebuilt. :( Should be done this week. I have freed it up but it's only ever temporary :(
  4. Best thing with dealers/garages is just say to them out right will you take ex amount for cash now they normally go off and number crunch and let you know I'd say they will come down a bit just depend what they part ex'd it for to start with.
  5. Let us know mate, I will have another look for the other one. Might have just been the belt again I can't remember :D
  6. No the STI is more because it has more power out of the box, and you can tune it way past. The WRX is only good to about 350BHP
  7. Nope not seen that one before. I like the Admin though with his comment about individual tastes. One of our rules and glad to see others share that belief :)
  8. It's easy mate I still find time for dogging and chasing lonely woman late at night through dimly lit parks after the night clubs kick out. Abd as long as people can get on at least once daily it's fine with me, I'm sure the others are happy with that too :)
  9. Nope never heard of a 5" down pipe unless he's measuring the cat

  12. Here one of the jokes that was submitted to us who will be reviled as a moderator soon enough :) ( Cue suspense music) 2 nuns riding bikes, one says to the other "I've never come this way before." the 2nd says "I know it must be the cobbles."
  13. Yeah we had another member with that skipping not long ago I can't remember what it was in the end I'm sure he was from Barnsley I will have a look see if I can find it. I know it was sorted out. But as said above 1st thing I'd have a look at is give the steering belt a twitch they do come slack over time and need a little bit of a tweak.

Hi mate welcome back to Subaru ownership and to S.O.C We had a guy try tracking down and old car before to find it had been written off :( even managed to get pictures of it if I can find the thread I will let you see. Cruel world really I did feel for him I could see it meant a lot as he didn't want to sell it at the time but was forced too. And later on after a few years found himself back on his feet and wanted it back even if it needed repair, but was completely written off :( Anyway less of the depressing story's it's not Monday ;) Have a few members on here with the lovely new STI had a member return his to get his RS back recently too :( just said it didn't feel like the right car for him, Not sure why I've not had a Mk2.5 RS but did drive the Mk1.5 RS and compared to my scoob not close in the way it feels for me, but each to their own I won't judge :) Anyway feel free to jump in on the forum good bunch on here, all friendly and don't mind a bit of banter :)
  15. Oh I was on the understanding they came on all new age STI's learn something new every day I guess, maybe I was wrong and they can as an extra. But if I was speaking to anyone I'd call it rear window spoiler or roof spoiler they will know what you mean. One here for sale not cheap but I don't find Turbo Monkeys cheap most of the time but they do well still so what do I know about price :D http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-Hawkeye-2005-to-2007-Wide-Track-Top-Roof-Rear-Spoiler-genuine-/171509897190?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27eec957e6

  23. Ones a replica mate the other is a carbon fibre replica. They will both fit fine and I doubt anyone on the planet would be able too tell. I think your best bet of getting a genuine one is from a breakers they only came on the STI, I've been looking at getting one myself at some point :D
