  1. Just asked a mate of mine he is on this forum so not sure why he's not replied himself but this is what he's put :D Well, that's as good-an-example if he wants a Leggy. It's got the very nice auto-box (which they were designed for primarily instead of manual) so it'll have the tip-tronic/push button on steering wheel too. Good that it's a GTB so it has the additional Billies and slightly more power. It's a good price for that kind of mikleage but history needs to be checked to see when and who imported it and what it came into the country like. Was it converted here etc and all the other associated bumpf. It should boost nicely on primary and then go like stink once the secondary kicks in around 4000rpm. There will be some VOD (flat-spot during changeover) but it'll be hardly noticeable as it's an auto and they're tuned for it The drive is more refined than the Impreza's or earlier Legacy's. And I'm not trying to push anyone away or towards other forums more so when I'd like to see this one become a good sized club with a wide range of all Subaru models. But might be worth signing up on UK Legacies forum I know most of our members on here also are on there. They have made me feel welcome on there to post about my local meets too so good bunch like here. :) and other than me I know people do join multiple clubs. But just remember us when we're doing any events :D I'm going to have a word with the UK Legacy guys anyway about posting events on there that they aren't going to and see if they want to do the same here. If that would work or not I don't know :)
  2. No problem, hopefully get some info to look for before you go on Thursday :)
  3. Slight change of direction..... thinking of going to have a look at this on Thursday! http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/subaru/legacy/subaru-legacy-gtb-twin-turbo-estate/3055665 I know nothing about them, other than that they were grey imports.. anyone got any advice on things to look for on these? Thanks Just posting this on behalf of Nom :)
  4. No worries I will make a post for you in the Legacy section hopefully Tlag or one of the others might see it and reply :D The Introduction part of the forum when asking questions people don't always look here as they might just see it as another. "Hello my names keith and I like polythene bags" post :)
  5. Oh sorry to hear that mate, not such a great way to spend your B'day :( And I know it's not so much laid up with it because even laying isn't comfy :(
  6. Thought it might as well have its own post by now :) Anyone been doing this ? Not sure if it adds to a reward in game or not. http://far-cry-4.ubi.com/en-GB/Home

  12. Tlag and Adam would be your best bet or maybe Exup. Car looks pretty good though and I noticed an Evo in the background so that would give me some confidence its someone who likes Jap cars and hopefully knows how to look after them :)
  13. Puts my man cave to shame :( A computer desk tucked away in a corner :(
  14. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C If I leave the blobeye for just over a week the battery will be flat I'd say it's normal with the alarm being left on. :)

Not easy to get an idea being that close distance angle would have maybe given a better look but I think it would look pretty good, they don't look like they stick out too much that it's in your face.
  19. Hi mate not used these myself but have been recommended in the past http://www.hypertechscotland.co.uk/ But this one seems to be most favoured Kenneth Brown Motor Engineering Ltd 36 Hepburn Road, Glasgow, Glasgow City G52 4RT 0141 882 6757
  20. I always keep update with that :) But I did try to get the latest ones funny enough the other day but kept stopping when I was downloading them :(
  21. I've got it don't think my PC likes it I had the glitch problem when you start if you get dressed before speaking to that guy the door stays locked so restarted got past that bit6 then it crashed my PC. So might have another go later but I hadn't restarted the PC after install which I know is a bit of a sin :)
  22. Oh no I go street level depending on how slack they are. Chuck a bit of sand up there helps add to the friction :)
  23. It's not chavy at all. I've spoken ..... Just don't tell your missus otherwise I will be forced to agree with her :) But I think it looks spot on myself it just brakes the colour up enough to give it some flair.
  24. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C I'll start with I wouldn't worry about owners more so with these cars, I have seen so many people say about this. Yes it could be because it's a bad car and is getting shipped off every few months because people don't have the funds to look after it. But I have seen a few that have had a lot of owners and are still great cars. People will buy these then realise it's not suitable for their needs we have had someone this week post and say Hi then matt see the same car on ebay :( Like my car it was sold and bought by the same owners 5 times back and forth I still have no idea why. And it's an early 2001 bugeye. Not to saying Snoop-y is wrong, but more for food for thought or looking into the paper work. But I agree MOT paperwork doesn't always mean anything but no advisories is good unless done from the same Garage might have been a backstreet garage. The prodrive pack is nice to have and would say it's been looked after but I would always want some sort of paper work with it. For me out of the 2 you have listed I'd maybe go for the 1st one and use the extra money to spend on mods it doesn't cost loads to soon tune them to 300BHP and thats a WRX you can go to 350. which is past a STI standard anyway :) All I can say anything second hand is a gamble it really is. You could go VW, Ford, Vauxhall, and still have problems. Like the lass next door to me got a Vectra well damaged not much in the way of paper work. Had no oil in the gearbox at all luckily spotted that and it's still running for now that was last week, but starts ok and no problems with gear change at the minute so think it was saved. Just annoyed I now have to buy some more oil for when I change my calipers :D Anyway I'd look at both take for test drives we have a guide HERE Has some of the members add to this so worth looking into and having a read down the list. But Clutch gearbox Big End failure and Headgasket is the big worry at the end of the day. The brake calipers do suffer from stuck pistons also but thats not a problem we have a chap on here that refurbishes them for a living on here :) So if you take them both for a test drive, report back anything worrying you. That will be better off that way as a report back on both car, all being well give us more insight :) I also found looking further for these cars was a great help, to find one you're completely happy with I traveled for both mine :)
  25. I've often looked at a picture of posh spice whilst wearing protection to Fornicate....
