Picks one's self up from the floor.... Ouch!. And finger's crossed for ya that the clean up has done the job. Did he clear any error codes as well ? I'm sure he did.

Well I have 2 Subaru's here. So I sound really sad now :) Mind you nither cost the same to buy a BRZ in my defence :D And even with a Lotto win I don't think I would buy one, a few more Imprezas. Then a toss up for a 458 Italia or the Aventador :D I have it all planned out just need to win now ;)
-
Not a problem at all. Just hope you can get it sorted for less pennie's :D And I know what you mean about having to spend money to get other items your adding to the car to work, was putting a revclock in one of the car's and found out you can't fit them the same way you use to be able to. So going to cost me another £90 with item tax and delivery as i can only seem to find them in America. So what was a £25 clock to add to the dash is now £110 later :D But I don't mind when it's something I'm adding and not needing to repair ;)

That look's.... Awsome! But after having AWD and the cost to have that done, I think I would still stick with the Impreza I have had a RWD before had a M3 for about a year, but I can't see anyother car will feel the same now. I've sold my sole I guess :)
-
I understood it's not the gearbox but they will, I'm guessing need to take that out to get to the switch if it's inside. and thats not a small job hence why I asked if it was with fitting. And if you knew what the part was I would look into it a bit more. And see if you can get the part on it's own. Subaru main dealer's when I have dealt with them have been fine with me, like when I was after a hub. But they might sell it as a joblot, or do as you have found out. I would try place's like these. http://www.camberleyautofactors.com/home/index.php But you will need to know what the part's called, or a part's number. And again would look on ebay. Until I have check every possible alternative I would hold off paying that much for any part. But either way hope it's resolved soon, and not to costly :)

Front cv joint question, please help
Gambit replied to Davsurfa's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
pffffhhh for a second there :) And I'm glad to hear it on all 3 accounts Be nice to get her back and get to work on getting that blue off. 1st time I've seen a Subaru that I thought was that shocking. But least you can get her back to her best :D And hope to hear you have her back tomorrow mate. And you will have to make sure you get them pictures up as your getting her back to best. I have to see it now :D I have just tried to update your picture's on here with no joy either :( -
Look's nice but, after seeing that it's the same as the Toyota GT68 in every way seem's to be a bit of a let down :(
-
Did you get the car from a dealer ? I'm guessing not with the distance, I'm guessing private sale. Do you know the name of the part your after ? I would ring some autopart places up yourself, and ask for some prices seem's alot to me for a part, unless the cost is fitting also. And if that fale's I know it's a new car you have but Check ebay see if anyone is breaking one or see if maybe an older model part will fit and again look at ebay for anyone breaking one down. Sorry about the bad news mate I know how it feel's. And sorry I could not be of anymore help then that. :(

I've heard the phrase before about being a yob's car's Only problem is when Top Gear say's it, the smells sort of hard to remove And how funny you used those words to search on youtube. Their the exact same words i used I just didn't want to fill the forum up with all the video's I have said that myself before about BMW driver's now buying Audi's Don't get me wrong I still get the odd other driver, of other make car's wanting to get close enough to smell what aftershave I have on. But for me Audi's just top the list I could name 2 just yestarday when I was coming back from Tesco lol. And I really thought it was going to be the Evo 9 that was going to be the !Removed!. But ohhhh noooo! The Audi driver behind him wanted to show all of us how not to drive. So I made him have to stay behind me until he turned off

Ok I'm sure many of you will have watched Top Gear last night. But for the people who did not, they was talking about Subaru pulling out of selling more Subaru Impreza's in the UK. And then went on to refer to Subaru as a "yob's car". Thats fine does not bother me, as every Subaru owner I have seen drives well. Unless on a track from what I have seen of anyway. So seem's we are tarred and feathered with it. But out of intrest, who would you say is the worst/yobish drivers on the Road today For me it is alway's 96% of the time Audi driver's. Even my Missis see's it now I have pointed it out Look's like I'm not on my own

Front cv joint question, please help
Gambit replied to Davsurfa's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
Thats a great price for all that work. I love mates rates :) I don't mean to be rude You didn't do the wheels and scoop that colour did you ? :D And for the 1st time I can say this, I'm not over struck with the sticker on the car either :( So fully agreed. They have to go :D But what you have said with your plan's to do to the car, I'm looking foward to see how the progress comes on. So keep us all updated mate. -

Sorry to hear that mate :( Nothing worse then problem's with your pride and joy. Get some pictures up though when she's back up and running. And on a brightside.... Least there will be no more clicking :D -
Nice post not done this since the st170 :) And it does look good
-
I agree with the video, sound's great to me. And when you say "Sun visor" do you mean like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sun-Visor-RH-Grey-Genuine-Subaru-92010AC080MS-/180688554947
-
I don't think I could have put better myself :D I'm so happy I've found someone who share's my downfall ;)And I agree with these car's you need to know you can stop when you want to :D
-
Oh ok you had me worried about your car there lol, I thought you ment your front calipers was off like a WRX or something like with no marking's :D No problem I just read back my fault I miss read the post :D And that's what I would do change the pads even if you just do the front's I would also do Disc's as well but that's me but I can't see what your's look like so you would be best to judge more then me. I just know on mine I'm going to do all four disc's and pads after what I said last time. My !Removed! was like a rabbit's nose after :D And made me fear for my life at every corner after :) But I guess that's what happens with the cheaper disc's and pads under one hard breaking corner :(
-
Both Subaru's I have at home feel the same. So I think it's normal, but giving them a change will not do any harm for own piece of mind.Saying that I don't notice it now. I had a problem on the Bugeye, I was track daying I over took another car and I really had to stamp on the break for the next corner, and they soon faded away to the point I just made the corner with the help of gearing down. So I will be replacing all four on mine very soon, but they look like there is plenty of life left in them :( But I have not changed them since I had her so might have been cheap when I bought the car to replace the original's. And I'm sure your front calipers should have been Brembo, the same as the back. But some will say STI on the front.

Sport's mode for the WIN! :D

Help with my 06 Subaru Impreza R Sport
Gambit replied to carmella's topic in New Members Introductions
Hi welcome to S.O.C And no a WRX/STI exhaust wont fit, if your looking at a full through set up I.E from the engine to the backbox with it being non turbo. Unless you get one for your car. But if your looking at getting one to have welded on after the Cat other then a bit of work I can't see why not. If that make's sence :D With the induction kit You will need to make sure you get one that allow's you to put your MAF sensor on so would say K&N maybe a Pipecross This is the one I have for mine http://www.ebay.co.u..._SM&Make=Subaru -
Hi Scotty. Happy to see you here mate :) Shame about the Hawkeye :( I've been going the other way. Bug, Blob and next I want is the Hawk. But like you say Tax is a killer, and the insurance. I think that's why Subaru have started to stop selling them here :( But loving the Ken Block style on the the Blob look's great And just point out this is the same Gentleman that I spoke about in another post about the vinyls :)
