Hi mate Welcome to S.O.C I believe it will fit without problems I don't think the mounts on an STI engine are different as long as you have the loom the gearbox ECU. ect, ect Will you have problems and hidden surprises and headaches when doing it I would almost put money on it, I don't mean that to put you off just be prepared. And make sure you have enough money and time to cover it.

As I said I don't know how much truth was init he was on about the oil and fluids been thrown around. I thought it's feasible :) and my last car I had a body kit on that was low to the ground I had to stop shopping in Asda's when they put speed bumps in the car park :D

3rd Jays comment if they told you via phone what diff to get and it's not recorded I would say they will win. and you will have to pay up. But if you have it anywhere written down by them that it was that Diff they told you to get, or even on a receipt issued by them for fitting it i believe that would stand as evidence that it was in fact them that told you to get the wrong part. If you don't I think you will have a 20% chance of winning myself, I think they will play the you got the wrong part and it's not the one they told you to get :(

I'm always safe and steady on bumps I was told once not sure if it has any truth init that bump do a lot of damage to the engine even at lowish speeds so I always slow down for them. Sod anyone else behind me that want's to almost jump off the bump it's my car :) I would have thought if it was going to come on it would have by now.

I have cooked mine on a track day, I didn't know it killed the oil. another job for one weekend :D

Yep as you do I do have one friend who is a copper I do speak to him if I need to he will advice me on something's. But he lives in Wales now so don't speak to him much other then Facebook
