Wow that would have been my last guess too :o But on the plus side least you got it sorted, just need to get the sucker MOT'd and good to go again :) Take it any mods planned are now on hold :( And thanks for letting us know :)

I would try reset the ECU 1st as it's the easy one of the two choices ;) If it still fails would then try the wiring loom. Just to eliminate any problems before getting a garage to check it over.

I guess the part numbers wouldn't match as there swapped round to ours. Unless because it's electric the plug's may differ, but still a nice try. And I've never thought about trying over sea's for parts :) -
as I said on your other post mate just take it easy for now, I know it's tempting but you will just have to take your lead boot's off :)
