  1. TLDR : Dealership doesn't know how to enable wiper/headlight auto-on feature or how it operates, Subaru UK thing it only works in the dark, and I think they are both wrong and they don't make sense. Am I wrong? How does this work? How do I use it? So at the start of the year I asked my dealer to enable the feature to turn on the headlights automatically if the automatic wipers start to wipe continuously. Which is what previous cars I've had were able to do, although they had a hell of a lot more user-friendly way of activating it that forcing me to a dealership to enable it... but anyway... I got a note back saying that the feature will work if both headlights and wipers are set to Auto. It doesn't work. So I asked the dealer again, and they said they didn't understand what I was asking for. After explaining again, they state they contacted Subaru UK training people, and they were told that the lights will work automatically with the wipers when the light levels are low enough. I pointed out that this is how the normal automatic lights work, and referenced the feature in the owner manual. But no reply or suggestion on how to enable it. I'm sure that I saw someone talking about this feature in a forum here, but I can't find it and I can't find out how to enable this since my dealership clearly doesn't know how to. Does anyone know how to make/already have this feature enabled? I've had it on other cars, and it's a handy feature when it rains, and it rains a lot in Scotland 😄 Thanks Will
  2. I've had the MiSubaru Android app since I got my Forester last year. It's there and it's of limited real "use". It does have a one click "Request Assistance" button that's meant to take you to their support team for recovery/breakdown/whatever. I've not used it so don't really know what happens. It lets you add reminders, add insurance info, car info, personal details, and has a button to "Send Mi Details" if you have an accident and need to share your info with the other party by email, which is sort of cool, but also something you can do by text or email yourself. I haven't been in the app for an age, and tried it today, and it's refusing to load any of my details, my car details or reminder data, even though still shows my name in the main screen. Try to update anything and it hangs loading, or just displays a blank page looking for me to re-add my data again. So guess if I do need to Send Mi Details, i'd be quicker emailing them myself. TLDR : The app doesn't really do much more than you can do in your phone addressbook and calendar. You're not missing anything by not having it.
  3. Hi all, now had my first Subaru for two weeks now, Forester e-boxer (2019 plate) and I love it! Former Suzuki owner, loved my Vitara but it died and the parts were ludicrously overpriced, so timely upgrade. Speaking to an independent specialist, the parts to do the same work on the Forester would cost less than half the price, so looks like I'm already onto a win. If anyone knows of existing threads that can link me to info on UK Forester accessories catalogue, I'd much appreciate it. I'm keen to see what little "quality of life" extras I can pick up. Hope everyone has had a great weekend Glad to join team Subaru 😄
