Paint Code Location?
Just as it was starting to get dark (I know ) I decided to try and find out the paint code for my Forester. Google'd where I could find it - ah ha, on the driver's door pillar...easy I thought. So out I went....no sign....only info there related to tyres and airbags. Anybody able to tell me where I can find it please, or better still, know what it is for my 2-tone Fozza? Thanks

Subarus do this as well then?
Must admit even in the week or so I've been lucky enough to own one, I've kinda looked for any other Subaru to park near, if the opportunity presents itself

Second Gen 2.0 non-turbo MPG / Range
Just normal unleaded, but try to stick to branded rather than supermarket. Shell is my fuel of choice in the vicinity of a station

Second Gen 2.0 non-turbo MPG / Range
Ok, the results for the first tank are in. Drove 276 miles and filled up when just below 1/4 on gauge. I negotiated a full tank in with the purchase, so brim to brim I've managed 30.6mpg. Have to say I'm very happy with that, given my driving, time of year etc.

Ok, so I'm down to 1/4 tank on the gauge after 250 miles of enthusiastic driving in my new steed......what MPG or mileage between tanks do my fellow 2nd gen owners manage to achieve? I'll be happy to get close to 30 at the minute, although that might be a bit optimistic! :o Just don't tell the wife :P

It's a Kenwood KDC-BT51U and has performed really well in the last couple of cars we've had it in. Also has added bonus of USB port to be able to play music from phone

Saturday's the day!
Thanks :) The only thing I really want, well three things actually come to think of it, are a dog guard, a plastic tray type boot liner and a resin rear bumper protector. All in the name of dog protection and comfort for our fella really. Replaced the rear wiper blade today as was a bit squeaky, not wiping too well and basically past it.

Saturday's the day!
Ok, here we go. A few age related marks here and there, but for a 10 year old car I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the condition :D

Last major service at a Subaru dealer was done @ 102k and invoice has no mention of belts being replaced; just inspected. The most recent service @ 118k was done at an independent and no belts are listed on the parts invoice. Think I'll just have to take it to my trusted local garage and ask them for an honest appraisal of the belt condition. I can see no reason why it won't have been done twice as advised, based on the money the previous owner was happy to spend to maintain it. Looks like the belts are supposed to be done every 60k, according to the service schedule

Have had a little time now to red through the invoices, service history etc. The car has done 128k with a full service history - just about due for it's next one, but supplying garage have changed oil etc, so can probably wait a couple of months. New front pads and discs recently fitted at 123k. New exhuast (full system) fitted by supplying garage before sale (literally still gleaming). Salesman said it'd had the timing belt done twice, but can only find invoice evidence of having been done once at 66k. New O2 sensor fitted about a year ago. All in all very happy with the quality and quantity of history. Think my original inkling that I've uncovered a little gem looks good on paper ;)
