  1. Ah....are you one and the same who kindly answered my 3 questions the other day? :D Not had time to ring the local dealer, so thought I'd try the fountain of knowledge that lives here :)
  2. Just a quick question really - will a dog guard taken from a 2006 Forester (facelift with sunroof) fit my 2003 Forester (with sunroof)? The main difference I can see is that there seems to be 2 holes in the grill on the 2006 version whereas there's only 1 (for the 3rd seatbelt I presume) on the standard pre-facelift one. This of course is assuming there were no changes to the fixing points etc as part of the facelift If anyone can shed any light on this for me, that would be great :)
  3. Oh aye
  4. 2L7 it is then
  5. A minimal amount really. I've only spotted 2 chips on one of the rear doors that I'd like to cover to prevent rusting in future.
  6. Thanks for the replies folks....I essentially want some touch up paint to cover a few stone chips. Is there a supplier in this country anybody would care to recommend?
  7. Just as it was starting to get dark (I know ) I decided to try and find out the paint code for my Forester. Google'd where I could find it - ah ha, on the driver's door pillar...easy I thought. So out I went....no sign....only info there related to tyres and airbags. Anybody able to tell me where I can find it please, or better still, know what it is for my 2-tone Fozza? Thanks
  8. Must admit even in the week or so I've been lucky enough to own one, I've kinda looked for any other Subaru to park near, if the opportunity presents itself
  9. Dog guard and Bluetooth head unit both fitted today.....trip to the beach with the pup and daughter planned for tomorrow
  10. Just normal unleaded, but try to stick to branded rather than supermarket. Shell is my fuel of choice in the vicinity of a station
  11. Hijack indeed! FWIW I use auto care app on phone and fuelly online, as shown below
  12. Ok, the results for the first tank are in. Drove 276 miles and filled up when just below 1/4 on gauge. I negotiated a full tank in with the purchase, so brim to brim I've managed 30.6mpg. Have to say I'm very happy with that, given my driving, time of year etc.
  13. Has anybody run these tyres?......they seem well rated for grip and efficiency Hankook Kinergy Eco K425 205/70 R15 96T http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin//rshop.pl?s_p=Hankook-Kinergy-Eco-K425-205_70-R15-96T&details=Ordern&typ=R-213686&cart_id=52203063.110.11270&ranzahl=4&Breite=205&Quer=70&Felge=15&Load=95&Speed=T&weiter=0&last_sort=Lable_1roll&Ang_pro_Seite=50&sort_by=Lable_DEX&Transport=P&dsco=110&rsmFahrzeugart=PKW
  14. Ok, so I'm down to 1/4 tank on the gauge after 250 miles of enthusiastic driving in my new steed......what MPG or mileage between tanks do my fellow 2nd gen owners manage to achieve? I'll be happy to get close to 30 at the minute, although that might be a bit optimistic! :o Just don't tell the wife :P
  15. Did the latest update include changing the version of Bluetooth your running? Probably not, but worth a check
  16. They download automatically on connection
  17. It's a Kenwood KDC-BT51U and has performed really well in the last couple of cars we've had it in. Also has added bonus of USB port to be able to play music from phone
  18. Thanks for the comments guys. Boot liner arrived today, universal dog guard on the way and mobile fitter booked for Saturday to get my Kenwood Bluetooth head unit and mic swapped in. Happy days
  19. Regional county/Borough/District: Derwentside, County Durham Car Model: 2003 2.0X (AWP) Any Mods: Nope Picture:
  20. :o
  21. Thanks Steve
  22. Looking forward to following this thread to help inform me ahead of future tyre purchases. Good work
  23. Thanks :) The only thing I really want, well three things actually come to think of it, are a dog guard, a plastic tray type boot liner and a resin rear bumper protector. All in the name of dog protection and comfort for our fella really. Replaced the rear wiper blade today as was a bit squeaky, not wiping too well and basically past it.
