They used castrol mag fully synthetic at my recent service and the car is running noticeably better. Previously had semi syn in

Fuelled up at tesco for the second time and found my first tank has given me my best mpg to date! Shocked is the word....could be the effect of the better oil used at the recent service as this is the first brim to brim since. Be interesting to see what I get from a tank of shell now.
For the record 33.6mpg

Yeah, my QQ used to have the same feature as your bravo....warning light that was solved by a dual carriage way cruise or 5 mins in 2nd at 40mph lol.

Interesting reading this....especially as subaru seem to be having a big push on the diesel models for foresters and outbacks.
I swore I'd never get a diesel again after the DPF issues I had with my Qashqai. If this really is as good a solution as you suggest, I may need a re-think in future years
I try to use shell standard fuel where I can, but nearest station is circa 12 miles away. Tesco 1 mile away so used that for the first time last tank. Be interesting to see if there's any difference

I took my forester to GMD Durham for a service and they were great for me. I'd have no hesitation recommending them. It's next to the arnison centre

Grrr just seen the date....I've only gone and booked some surprise concert tickets earlier this week for me and the wife to go out that night in Newcastle
Ok....think I've narrowed my next tyre choice down to 3 now....for the time being anyway......
Falkens @ 75 a corner fitted
Yokohamas @ 78 a corner fitted
Michelins @ 85 a corner fitted....my personal fave at the mo

When I was in the dealers earlier this week I thought I'd check out what they are booting the new cars with.....turns out they are using Yokohama Geolanders.
I assume that's either a price or performance decision by subaru...
