Lifting a Forester
customs released them & they arrived yesterday. I have MOT on monday so see how that goes, then look into getting them fitted, I know i have a shock failing on the rear. enquired about full geometry calibration today at Wheels in Motion (had previous cars done) & they said the Forester is fully adjustable on the camber so thats handy. I will keep you posted.

Lifting a Forester
looking at lifting my Forester, will need to change the rear as its sagging now & thinking of putting the Pedders kit on. thinking of doubling up with this kit if anybody has used them/had any experiences? http://www.subtle-solutions.com/product_info.php?cPath=21_24_26_45&products_id=97 I have been in contact, $300 delivered to the UK.

Changing from Bridgestone's to Falken's
update: fuel economy still averaging 31mpg, on road still fine, might have almost got stuck yesterday as i went into a waterlogged woodland, fortunately the AWD system pulled me out of trouble with mud flying everywhere. today I have been checking out a permission so spent quite a lot of time on dry fields, I am now thinking of lifting my car. Forester SG is finally being sorted.
Ive had my car a couple of years now, when i bought the car the standard head unit had some liquid spilt on it & would no longer tune in. So i did away with that & stuck in an Alpine 136BT DAB receiver with hands free. I went with the wire windscreen antenna to keep it in uniform to the FM loop. I have now installed rear 5" coax speakers Hertz DCX 130.3 2 way backed with dynamat, next weekend i will be doing the fronts which are 6.5" Component Hertz DSK 165.3 again backed with dynamat. Im not after big sounds, just crisping up & getting a better sound than the standard system.

2003 Forester Tyres
I'm sure whatever you get you will be happy with them. best way of getting the best out of your tyres is ensuring pressures are correct & that the geometry on the car is good. previous cars i took to http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk the forrester seems good on tyre wear so its just a case on keeping an eye on tracking

2003 Forester Tyres
a friend has Yoko Geolanders on his Pajero, he got stuck a couple of weeks ago…they are a nice looking tyre & say its bad driving over tyres. im liking my Falken's & given my decision again i would purchase them again, my Mrs has Falken Ziex on her car & I had them fitted on my previous car & had good wear & grip from them. not had Michelins for years so don't know what their current range are like.

Changing from Bridgestone's to Falken's
still happy, fuel economy is still averaging 31mpg, certain road surfaces are a little louder, still have not got stuck off road & we have had some very sticky weather lately. no signs of wear yet, think that will occur when the roads dry out properly & some some summer heat gets into them. Generally happy, would certainly buy them again.

How to remove legacy Gear knob?
my Forester is a screw on, remember the first time i took it off it was FT so hold the shaft through the gaiter as Tlag suggests.
